Previews

Medic One Ambulance company is a returning client of Milano Photography, whom I just adore. They had me out to take some photos of their staff and their vehicles for some brochures and wall photos in their offices. For the second part of their session, we set up at their event for their staff to have their photos taken. These guys are AWESOME. The owners are a great husband and wife couple and the staff and company that they have built is nothing short of admirable, professional and very friendly--just really great people. This was a lot of fun!!! I am sharing just a few from the event and their proofing gallery is almost set and ready :)

Part I

At Last.....one of my favorite couples. There are ABSOLUTELY NO WORDS to describe this wedding event. Ricky and Kristine were calm, calm, calm and incredibly organized. Aside from all that, the love they have for each other can be deeply felt by anyone who is around them. They are a very, very outgoing couple. Their wedding took place at at the gorgeous
St. Dennis Church in Diamond Bar--just beautiful. I loved this couple's willingness to go on location for some private
Bride and Groom photo session time. It really allowed us to capture some great moments. They decided to go down to La Verne for their photo time, and it was a PERFECT choice. Lots of great light, and it was peaceful and quiet. Their reception was
out-of-this world with sheer elegance. Oh, and I have to mention their incredible families. They were just as amazing as the Bride and Groom. DownTown Disney

I am working on this online gallery, and realized I didn't preview this session, and just had to get them up to share. This is Anthony and his DARLING daughters...aren't they simply the cutest!!!!. With all the chaos during the holidays, he decided to wait until after Chirstmas to have a photo session and catch some time bonding with his girls. We met at Downtown Disney, and toodled around and captured some great moments. Let me tell you.....OH YES THE SASS!!!! and if you guys know me at all, I LOVE it when those little one's show me the SASS :) These girls are super sweet and very well behaved. GREAT LOCATION!!!

Morning Light

Part I

I have been waiting and waiting to post these previews. There were so many I couldn't choose. This is one incredible couple.
They are high school sweethearts and are totally in love and are the very best of friends. Rocio was was the most relaxed bride, and I can't tell you how excited Nick was to get going down the aisle to see his bride!!! One thing I have discovered about doing weddings is I absolutely LOVE the LOVE in the air and the feeling I get being around the bride and groom. Their location had some great little areas of light, and that old door was a sure favorite of mine....I hope Rocio and Nick enjoy these previews. Their full wedding gallery will be going online for viewing in just a few days :)

Dellos Dance Event

Chino Family Session

I LOVED this session!!!

I was so excited to have this family return to me this season for an update for their family photographs....I LOVED they were willing to visit one of me FAVORITE location spots ;) I can't even believe how big the Macias boys are getting...WOW and what troopers. On A Personal Note...

Okay I had to post these, strickly on a personal note.....
I have been sooooo incredibly busy and missing my little one's a bit so I had to share a little story...
Nicholas lost his two front teeth within 3 days of each other :0 he looks sooooo CUTE, but just a sign he's going to be EIGHT very very soon (photos will follow someday when I have time LOLOL) then a day after that, Mia came to me a couple of days after that telling me she had a loose tooth.....UGH I immediately started crying, even Jim felt badly for me. Not only is she my last, and youngest, but I LOVE the little girl in her and loosing teeth just makes them grow up soooooo much faster
Well, during our portrait party for Lake Hills, this family came to me, and just LOOK at this little princess....she is absolutely
ADORABLE and she was soooooo dang sweet!!!!! She made me feel like both of my kiddos will still be ADORABLE and WONDERFUL as they grow :)'

Honestly, they are always and forever going to be my babies`

Raymond Girls

It's blogging time again and we are on a roll, roll, roll :) I've got lots of orders going in and lots of galleries going up....
I've got lots of little elves' helping me out this weekend to get stuff done....."hubby elf" is doing lots of legwork LOLOLOL

In the meantime I thought I would post a couple cute one's from the Raymond Family...these girls were SUPER excited when I arrive and were fun to work with...we met at their home for an early morning session and we just toodled around their house looking for good light and cute spots. Their dad really wanted to keep it casual and fun, more lifestyle-like and sometimes that definitely works out the best...and this was for sure one of those times.....thanks for being so cute and fun girls :)

I had the pleasure of meeting with these three boys and their mom's!!! Good friends with kids who just needed a day out. And of course, what a better way to spend the day then having your photos taken to remember all the fun ;) The weather turned out perfect, and the company was great. This group was EZ-PZ to play with and photograph. Ya know, there is just something adventurous about a park full of trees and three boys LOLOL. "Preview One"

I didn't even know where to start with all these awesome participants from the Portrait Event!!!! I had sooo much fun doing this:)
I decided to post a few at a time, so here is where we will start. Thanks to Dellos Dance Studio for hosting this event and thank you to all my AWESOME helpers (Ms." L" especially) The dance studio held a Recital this holiday season, and not only did we invite parents to bring in their little one's in their costumes, but decided to invite families for mini-sessions as well. All the costumes were AMAZING, which is truly no surprise from this Dance Studio!!!! That is just a piece of this incredible holiday event....the Show was phenomenal----Choreography-UNBELIEVABLE!!!! I will touch more on this in a future post with a few photos I took at the Show ;) But for now, a few previews of these Little One's :) An online proofing gallery will be going up by Thursday for everyone

Family Session

It was such a pleasure working with this family. Kristine and her brothers wanted to do something special for their mom on her birthday, so they called me up and invited me out for a SUPER FUN family session. They had the most AWESOME location picked out when I arrived. We took some great family stuff, then some individuals too. I have to share something about this group: THEY ARE FUNNY, FUNNY, FUNNY!!!!! They had me in stitches the ENTIRE session. On top of being super funny they are ALL incredibly nice and connected as a family. Part II

Well, the post has finally arrived. This was an incredibly emotional wedding for Jim and I to shoot, and then even more emotional to process. This is The Durber|Dilly Wedding, and it was just AMAZING!!! This is Ms. Michelle and her wonderful new hubby Ian. This event was enough to take anyone's breath away. From the moment I arrived there were NOTHING but smiles for this bride, groom and their families. Ian and his twin brother have been stationed in the Military and are finally home safe to their families and loved ones. The Honor and Emotion represented at this Ceremony was breathtaking.
Even as I type, I can't hold back the heartfelt tears looking back at their day. Michelle and Ian just have that "feeling" about them and they tend to "illuminate" that "feeling" to everyone else. Michelle and Ian are a very powerful couple and have a "long life of happiness" ahead of them. The support and love from their families is truly captivating. This bride and groom are connected in every way possible-

I can't believe how big this little one is getting!!! I had a senior portrait session with Ms. A a couple weeks ago, then her mom called to see if we could do a "little Mini-Session" with her sister for a couple headshots for a dance position appolication. I had a SUPER time with this couple taking their engagement photos. Kristine and John are SOOOOOO ADORABLE TOGETHER!!!
They are an absolute perfect fit. We spent the morning down in Fullerton, and we couldn't have asked for a better location. I really felt they were in their element and completely connected. I LOVE their edgy-style and personalities, it gave us lots and lots of photographing opportunities.....I cannot wait for their wedding day :)

We met at this awesome little location and our entire session went perfectly. He was such a great little boy to capture.

The Anderson's invited Milano Photography to photograph some very special girls :) And special it was....These girls have grown up together as if sisters. Madison and Kelsey wanted some portraits taken of them and their gorgeous horses. Never being around such an exquisite animal, I have to admit I was totally intrigued by the "cowgirl" lifestyle that these girls and their families lead. I was completely AMAZED at the interaction, training and bonding between the girls and these horses. This was an AWESOME session for me. These girls loaded up FOUR horses into a GINORMOUS trailer like it was nothing and off we went to a location where the girls found some beautiful path-ways, trees, and great light. Madison, Kelsey, LuLu and Mom are all so wonderful and I really, really had a FANTASTIC session with all of them, and really enjoyed their company.

Okay and I had to share this photo of "Mia" one of the Anderson's little doggies.....She came running to greet me at the driveway LOLOLOL Isn't she a sweet little crack-up...she was absolutely soooo loveable....and of course her name is the "best ever ;)

The ceremony was heartfelt, and it was as if this couple were being married for the very first time....

So it's been a CRAZY couple of weeks, but I figured I better get to blogging :) This is Part II of Heidi and Erick's wedding journal. I have to admit, their all beach wedding brought out some incredible calming emotion....again, which explains the peace and soulfulness that defines Erick and Heidi as a couple. The more and more I view them in their photos, and finish up their proofs, the more and more I completely define them as "soulmates" ...It just shows in their photos. They are simply that couple that just watching, brings you that warm and peaceful feeling......I do believe, no matter who else or what else was on the beach that day, during that hour, Heidi and Erick were the only visible souls there-

I am currently in the process of preparing this couple's wedding previews and proofs, but I had to take a moment to post this particular Favorite Preview of mine that I am ordering as a huge gallery sample. I loved this candid moment, and I really wanted to share it.....there was just something about this particular completely candid moment that captivated me....It's moment's like this that scream emotion....

Heidi and Erick are a great definition of the word "Soulmate" Just being around them brings a certain "joy" to your soul.
They have that type of relationship that can be defined by the words: honesty, friendship, commitment and passion....I believe they are buried within each other's souls....

Part of the reason I love Balboa is the various aspects of shooting space. There are some beautiful areas of hidden light and neat buildings and this engagement session was no exception to the possibilities ;) Rocio and Nick were absolutely up for anything and I would say as long as they were together, it didn't matter. We had a super good time walking around down there and finding some different places to shoot and had some great laughs. I am really looking forward to their wedding in September. I can only imagine how beautiful their day will be....I mean seriously, with that much love does anything else matter...

This was an amazingly flawless day. We began our journey at the Bride's house for her prep then off over to the Ontario Hilton for the remainder of the day. The Bride and Groom were as calm as I have ever seen. And a wonderful couple. I have been working with this bride and groom for several months now and I absolutely cannot say enough. Their day was filled with emotion and happiness and it was an honor to journal their lovely day. Thank you Amanda and Anthony and may your lives be filled with joy and happiness.....

It's been a few weeks since I posted into the Sunday Post spot, so I thought these were appropriate for today and I could introduce the latest member of our family, LUKE. It's very rare I can capture stolen moments from my son, but he was sooooo excited to get this new little guy into our family that he let me take a few....Luke and Nicholas are the best of buds, it's so awesome to watch Luke follow him around like his best pal. It's your typical "boy and his dog" relationship......We Love it, and we have had such good luck with this little guy he is an amazingly good puppy :)

"Is Two"

I had the pleasure of photographing this little cutie pie for some 2-year portraits.....she is soooooo dang cute and she's got the cutest little personality to match....we spent some time on location then met up a few weeks later at their home to finish up our session for some Lifestyle Portraiture.....(which I will previewing some of those as well) I am getting ready to order this families proofs, and as you all know, I have a habit of posting as I order, so keep checking back and you can see some more of this cute-patoot....Thank you to the Lopez family for being willing to have their session on location....it was super fun and the location was perfect.

Okay it's taken me forever to get these previews up for them, and I'm sooooo sorry they had to wait. But, the truth of the matter is I just thought the ENTIRE engagement session was sooooo much fun that I have had a hard time choosing. I have fine tuned it down, so I can order some proofs and post the previews....Kris and Ricky were engaged down in Santa Monica, and visited the
Santa Monica Pier quite often. This was a PERFECT place for their session since it had significant meaning to their awesome relationship. We arrived there and they were completely prepared for what was to come....YEP UP UP and UP they went on that GINORMOUS Landmark of a ferris Wheel!!!! Oh and I couldn't help but ask their willingness to jump on that SCRAMBLER!!!!
LOLOLOL anyone ever ridden that thing....it is a total crack up and I was in tears with laughter watching them.....This session was a total blast, and the two of them were completely open to lots of shooting options......thank you to you both for playing....it was soooo worth it ;)

{Five}

Well...it's been some time since I sat down and submitted a Sunday Post. I had to take some time out today and look back at our trip to Disneyland for Mia's 5th Birthday. I find that I get so preoccupied with work, which I absolutely love BTW, but I do forget to remember what started my photography in the first place.... capturing my ever-so-quickly growing kiddos, or trying to catch and savor their every darn moment. So needless to say, I had to take a moment and reflect on them and give some hugs and kisses......When I look at them, I just loose my breath at their innocence and youth. They are truly a gift and a blessing to me.....
We had a super time that day...and Nicholas, who we thought would never enjoy Disneyland, but begged us to go because he wanted to be with Mia on her birthday (AWWWWWW sweet huh?) actually had a great time and went on all the rides he would normally say "No Way" to. But of course, NO PHOTOS for him....I guess I am just happy he had a good time....

First thing's first, a birthday hat and goodies!!!! and some hat help from Nicholas (My FAV)

Remember the Henry Family from awhile back? Well we decided to reschedule the family part of their session, and I am soooo glad we did :) The location they chose was AMAZING!!! A super great park in Mission Viejo. I highly recommend taking a trip over there, it is just gorgeous. Plan to spend an afternoon, 'cuz there is lots to see.....The Henry kids did a great job with their session and we were able to get some really great photos...

Bride-To-Be had to wait a very long time for her Marine to come back from Iraq. Honestly, looking through their proofs, overwhelmed me with tears and melted my heart. I know their wedding day is going to be one to remember forever, along with their love for each other....

I TOTALLY LOVE these Cake-Smasher Sessions!!!!! and I can't even believe this cutie patootie is already turning ONE!!!!
Her mommy brought her back to me for one-year portraits, and of course I had to bring in a CAKE....
She is the sweetest little thing. We had a hard time keeping her still, of course, but no matter, spending time with her was amazing. This little girl just makes my heart melt. She is soooo super sweet. Her mom and dad designed this AMAZING nursery themselves, and it is absolutely adorable. I couldn't resist sharing that gorgeous crib with everyone. The day and location choice were perfect. This was a gift at Christmas for the Henry parents, and they were the SWEETEST couple. Very, very proud of their beautiful family. So what do you get when you dance at Dellos, it's your 1st dance competition and your mommy's a photographer??? A cool little photo-session before you compete and a High Gold Ribbon at the end of the day:) Mia's 1st dance competition was last weekend, and of course I had to take a GAZILLION photos. The proceeds of this particular competition went to Breast Cancer Awareness, and what a better benefit to dance for. I tell you I walked into that room and about had a heart attack....that stage just looked so HUGE compared to our 3 little 4-year olds. But they were soooo excited, and not one bit nervous!!!! Ms. Michelle has been working with these girls on their routine and she is absolutely AWESOME with them. The girls meet for a few classes a week, and they were nothing short of cute. The routine is a dance version of "Little Red Riding Hood" or as Mia calls it "Little Red "Wagon" Hood" I have to say we are very proud and honored to be a part of the Dellos Dance Connection. Their history in the dance industry is a long and experienced one, and we could never say enough great things about them!!! The three girls did an AWESOME job, and I am soooo proud, that I just had to share :)

What a way to spend some vacation time....an ENTIRE family session. This gorgeous family was visiting over the holidays, and the entire family came down to the beach for some family photos.

What a super, super nice family and adorable children. I was really excited to meet them and their session went soooo smoothly. This was my way of keeping him entertained, and you know what, that little guy never made a peep. So, lucky me, entertained AND a cute photograph :)

When Mother Nature Comes To Call....

I have never had to reschedule a session......until yesterday. The circumstances were not pleasant. I am sure you have all been watching the news and how Horrific the conditions are throughout Corona,Anaheim Hills,Yorba Linda,Chino Hills, and now Diamond Bar. It is just terrible. What started out to be a morning of dance with Mia, then back to drop her to Jim then off to my session with the Hite family, then Sunday, a session with 5 sweet little boys and the Macias family. Well, no. I headed out via the 91 fwy and was dead stopped almost immediately....I wondered what in the world would be causing traffic on a Saturday morning....SMOKE ahead is what I saw...it looked bad. An hour and a half later, and only traveling about 6 miles, I called the dance studio then went back home. Thinking it would be under control, I decided to drag the fam along for carpooling, to the session and have them drop me off at the location and let them hang around shoreline village while I worked with the Hite's. Well, we were shocked and amazed at the site when we got back on the freeway. Unbelievable traffic. Fire trucks from various locations sirening for us to move aside through bumper to bumper traffic, media vans surrounding the lanes, then paramedics, the the CDF, it was unbelievable. We were listening to the news on the radio and hearing that the freeways have been shut down and traffic was being diverted, homes are being lost, flames are jumping the freeways and the fire is rapidly spreading. My sister-in-law called from Chino Hills while watching the amazement on the News, and stated we better divert and get off asap. We were diverted at the 71 which leads straight to her place, so that's where we landed. The smoke was unreal and what we saw from her doorstep just left us in AW. In the 3 hour time span that we were driving, the fire had moved so rapidly from one city to another in a matter of hours. We finally left her house around 8:00 and when we reached home, we could see the flames all the way in Chino Hills, from our own backyard in Riverside....that's the last photo.

It is just awful....so, this Sunday's Post is in honor of those firefighters, families, homeowners, and everyone who is currently being effected by mother nature's fire that is ripping through your areas and threatening or destroying your lives, your hard work, and your memories. I pray that everyone you know has reached you and is safe. My heart goes out to each and every one of you., and special thanks and honor go out to the firefighters who are risking their lives to protect all that we love......Please keep these families and firefighters in your thoughts tonight and days to come.....

Hi everybody!!! Yep, another weekend passes by and the time change has definitely thrown us off. But, nonetheless, I have a little post.

So I get these crazy whims to drag my family around with me scouting out new locations for great photo sessions.....I mean what kid wouldn't just LOVE being the photogs daughter and model LOLOLOL

Well, normally I don't get too much argument from Ms. Mia. She has fun being the photog's daughter/model, and my hubby, well he goes along with it and is a great sport, but

Nicholas, forget about it, UH-UH, NO HOW and NO WAY.

But......this day, this little one just had NO desire to participate, couldn't even bribe her. I really wanted to share that even when they aren't interested, we still get great photos. Your little one's don't have to LOVE getting photos taken because EVERY moment can be beautiful.....just simply spending time together can present the most amazing photographic opportunities that can be cherished for a lifetime......

.The Joy of Children.

The Santospiritos have contacted me to let me know how well baby Luca is doing after his surgery. What a blessing. I wanted to share another photo of this beautiful baby boy and let his family know how happy I am he is recovering well. Just by reading her emails, the passion of motherhood and the bond between her and her son overwhelms me.

How much joy do your kids bring you, even to simply look at them. Their smiles, laffs, or even the darndest things that they say just have a way of bringing us smiles and happiness even on the worst of days......

.Homecoming.

First off, does anyone think the week went by super quick? I feel like I was just putting up last Sunday's post LOLOL :)

I absolutely cannot believe how fast these kids are growing up. This is my nephew, Tyler and I'm telling you it was just yesterday he was the ring bearer at our wedding.....He is a Freshmen at Chino Hills High and they had their homecoming last night......The GORGEOUS girl at his side, is Carolyn, a long-time friend way back from kindergarten. Her mom was telling me stories of photographs she has of them at like the age of 9.....Now that's a history!!!! It's cool to see them now in High School and it was even more cool that I got to take some photos of them before they left for the dance.They looked awesome all dressed up. Oh, and did you guys get a look at those shoes!!!!! Those are AWESOME!!!! Tyler has a GREAT group of friends, and every single one of them looked fantastik. I hope you guys all had a blast last night, and I hope you all enjoy making memories in your first year of High School :)

"Holy Spirit"

I am dedicating this Sunday's Post to one of my clients: Mr. and Mrs. Santospirito. They have the most GORGEOUS name with the most BEAUTIFUL meaning......"Holy Spirit"
They are an incredible family with an amazing little baby boy. He will be having open heart surgery this month to repair his heart. I really wanted the Santospiritos to know how AMAZING their son is and I wanted them to know this little guy is in my thoughts each and every day, he is just so special.
I was fortunate enough to spend the morning with them in their home, and what I found when I arrived just touched me. There was just something so magical about their baby, with his soul full of warmth, smiles and happiness....with such a beautiful soul, I can't even imagine a heart like his needing any repairing......
This was honestly the happiest baby ever. As much as his mommy wanted some quiet intimate moments, he was just sooooo playful and happy and fun. You couldn't STOP him from smiling and laffing..
We were fortunate, though, that we were able to really capture the best of both worlds.....sweet and intimate and fun and loving. The Santospiritos have been through so much over the past months worrying over their little man, and I just can't imagine how hard it must be. The amazing thing is you would just never know it.....they are such a strong, caring and welcoming family and so FULL of love for their baby.....Their session was soooo fun and awesome, and I will be posting some other favorites in the next couple of days!!!!!!

My thoughts and prayers are with the Santospiritos........

Beautiful New Life.....A beautiful new addition to the Tomsic family. It was so precious to watch them with her. Baby "A" was a perfect angel. Well, I mean really, could she be anything but perfect? Congratulations to the Tomsic's, you have a gorgeous new baby, and I can't wait for you to view your proofs....

.Cowboy Day.

This is Mia's last year in Pre-K, so I am really trying to take advantage of these "parent help" days at the school. You know, they grow up sooooo fast. I used to think that the more photos I took, the longer the moments would last. Like it would slow the clock down or something......I just always found myself taking THOUSANDS of photos because I thought it would preserve every last moment, but ya know what? They are still growing up just as fast. Actually, that is one of the main reason's I started Milano Photography. I found that the photograph of that fleeting moment may not "STOP" the hands of time, however it gave me something to cherish FOREVER....and, it forces me to slow down and take value in the moments that we have.

I really wanted to be able to do that for all of you.....Capture those fleeting moments that time steels away from us. Hence: Milano Photography was born :)

On that note, last week was Cowboy Day at Mia's preschool. I went over there in the morning to take some photos for the teacher of the kid's in Mia's classroom, they were soooooo darn cute. I wanted to share a couple of Mia. They all made these hats and bandanas and had a cookout.

Cole is the little boy....isn't he a QT??? Cole's mommy was gracious enough to allow me to post this picture of the two. Mia and Cole were in the same class last year, and are in seperate classes this year, but it is sooooo cute to watch them follow each other around during their recess time. She just LOVES Cole......LOLOLOL......If Jim or I ask her about anything or anyone at school, it's always Cole's name that comes up. They even make pictures for each other, how cute is that. It was so funny, I was in the room packing up my gear, while the kids were on the playground, and I hear Cole come into the room and ask the teacher, (not knowing I was in there)

"Have you seen Mia, I just can't find her anywhere"

Ummmm trouble down the road for us???? Yes, Perhaps.....LOLOLOL

I just had an ordering appointment with this lovely couple and they LOVED their

photographs :) I really, really enjoyed the appointment. Their hospitality is unbelievable, and they have a GORGEOUS home and family!!!! They have photos of their family displayed throughout their home....TOTALLY my style. You all know how I feel about "Life being Art" right? Well, they ordered some very elegant enlargements to add to the already beautiful decor in their home.
They have pretty much narrowed down their choices. However, choosing between
the color version and the ever-popular Milano Photography signature BW is still lingering for them.......so, since I wanted them to be able to view them together so that they are making the best choice for their needs, I thought I would share with everyone :)

.38 FEET.

so, i spend my Sundays behind a fence............watching this.

And, it's AWESOME!!! I cannot explain the feeling and emotion that occurs watching my little man throw those 38 feet....

It's 38 feet in this division, from the mound rubber to the strike zone.

This year Nicholas moved up a division in baseball...from Shetland to Pinto, and it's been tough....there were a LOT of changes: new coach, (ummm awesome coach BTW), scoring,

3 strikes and "YOU'RE OUT", kid pitching, a new field and then there is that small little "protective" piece of equipment that must be worn for safety....and really, the list of changes for Nicholas this year could go on......BUT in moving up to a division that has "kid pitch, his coach has been playing him in the pitching position, and WOW what a cool spot to be in...and Nicholas LOVES it!!! We are really, really fortunate to have such great coaches, and great team players.

(yes, i am a bit proud)

so, nonetheless, this is my Sunday Post for the week...

Amor.....yes for sure....aren't they a beautiful couple. They are getting married in Napa in a couple of months and needed some great photos for their invitations. We had such an amazing time in Laguna photographing them. They only needed a
"couple photos", but UGH I couldn't help get carried away ;)

This is the Emery family and I had the pleasure of photographing them. They recently put their heart and soul into their backyard, to create a family-oriented environment for their boys to enjoy, and to spend time together. I must say there was not a better location choice for their family session!!!! Their backyard is GORGEOUS...It suited their personalities perfectly and made an awesome family afternoon!!! These are just a couple teezers for them. Their entire session came out awesome and I can't wait for them to see their entire session album!!!!
